Payment systems
Card, cash and QR payment systems
Choose payments for your customers and destination market. Hardware support must be checked separately from local account activation and settlement.
Actual machine demonstration
Watch the order, payment and pickup flow
See the supplied factory demonstration: select on screen, present a card, wait for the order and collect a filled ice bag.
- Select the ice product
Use the machine’s touchscreen to start the order.
- Present the card
The demonstration uses a card terminal. Available methods depend on the ordered configuration and local provider activation.
- Wait for processing and packaging
The machine prepares the order inside the cabinet. Standard bag filling and optional sealing are confirmed in the equipment order.
- Collect the ice bag
Retrieve the filled bag from the pickup compartment.
Compare the quoted options
| Method | Quoted configuration | Operating considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Card | Terminal included in standard configuration | Confirm the model, provider onboarding, local currency settlement, network and transaction/service fees. |
| Cash | Optional module: +USD 480 | Confirm local notes or coins, accepted denominations, change handling, cash security and collection. |
| QR | Optional module: +USD 320 | Confirm the actual local payment service, merchant setup, currency and machine integration. |
The brochure describes MDB banknotes, coins, change, NAYAX and APP PAY options. These are configurable capabilities, not a promise that all methods are included or enabled on every machine.
Card and contactless purchasing
For US projects, use the US card payment guide to confirm the terminal and account requirements. Ask for a demonstration using the proposed terminal, configured vend price and selected ice format before dispatch.
Customer-facing instructions should identify the payment methods that are actually enabled. Keep an accessible contact route for failed purchases and refunds.
Cash handling and QR compatibility
For cash, confirm the validator configuration and whether the machine provides change or requires exact payment. Assign an operator to collect cash, verify accepted denominations and check jams. A cash module price alone does not define all coin and note capabilities.
For QR payments, identify the named payment provider and verify local customer usability. A displayed QR code must be connected to a confirmed payment-and-vend workflow; a generic payment link should not be assumed to start the machine automatically.
Verify payment-to-vend behaviour
- Confirm the amount shown on screen matches the machine price and account currency.
- Test successful purchases and ask the supplier/provider to demonstrate handling of timeouts and failed vends.
- Check low-stock suspension, pickup access and the configured refund/support process.
- Review transaction reconciliation, account access and recurring connectivity costs.
Payment integration is part of commissioning. See installation checks and remote management for the wider operating workflow.
