US card payment for ice vending machines
An included card terminal is equipment, not a ready-to-trade merchant account. Confirm local activation, USD settlement and provider costs before shipping.
Check the exact terminal and integration
Card-terminal hardware is included in the currently quoted standard machine configuration. The proposal describes MDB and NAYAX payment options; the actual terminal model and communication method must be stated in your quotation.
- Ask which terminal is supplied and whether its provider supports your US business and operating address.
- Confirm the machine-to-terminal interface, displayed price, successful-payment signal and vending completion behaviour.
- Ask the provider which card and contactless methods are supported for the specific account and terminal. Do not assume every listed payment method is active.
Arrange account onboarding and settlement
Ask the chosen provider for its current US onboarding requirements, required business documents, settlement currency and bank-account requirements. Confirm who owns the merchant account and who receives customer payments.
Factory installation of a reader does not automatically create your account or authorize transactions. Before finalizing the order, identify who is responsible for account setup, activation, connectivity and any provider-specific configuration.
Include all payment expenses

No universal US processing rate is quoted here. Request current terms directly from the selected provider, then enter both percentage and fixed expenses into the ROI model.
Test at the operating location
- Complete a small authorized purchase and confirm the correct amount and currency.
- Check that successful payment starts the intended vend and that insufficient ice prevents an inappropriate sale.
- Agree on the response to payment success followed by dispensing failure, connectivity loss or a customer refund request.
- Reconcile the provider’s records with machine sales records and verify settlement according to the provider’s schedule.
