Shipping an ice vending machine to the USA

A useful shipping quotation identifies the equipment, delivery point and responsibility for each charge. Confirm these details before paying for transport.

Give us the information needed for a quotation

  • Destination city, state and ZIP code; commercial or residential delivery address.
  • Machine model, quantity and final configuration, including sealing and payment options.
  • Whether you need port delivery or delivery to the operating site.
  • Access limits, delivery appointment requirements, unloading equipment and a local receiving contact.

Packed dimensions and gross weight must come from the final packing list. Product literature may show cabinet dimensions that are not suitable for booking freight. Tell the carrier about narrow entrances, overhead limits and any need for a forklift, crane or specialist handling.

Compare transport offers on the same scope

Items to confirm in writing
Quotation itemQuestions to resolve
Trade termWhich named location and version of the agreed trade term apply? What is included and excluded?
FOB equipment offerWhich port is named? What export-side packing and handling are included?
Destination chargesAre customs-related charges, port fees, storage and final delivery included? Who pays unexpected charges?
Door deliveryDoes the offer include unloading, placement and installation, or only transport to the address?
Insurance and damageWhat insurance is included? How and when must damage or missing items be reported?

Do not assume that a door-delivery or DDP-labelled offer includes electrical work, permits, installation or all possible destination costs. Request a written scope and have the selected logistics provider explain its responsibilities.

Arrange a shipment-specific customs review

Before dispatch, ask your customs broker or logistics provider to review the commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and any product or origin information they require. Have them confirm the current classification, applicable charges, entry requirements and who will act as importer for this shipment.

We do not publish a universal US tariff percentage or guarantee customs clearance. Requirements and charges depend on the actual equipment, origin, shipment and current rules. This page is a purchasing checklist, not customs or legal advice.

Receiving and commissioning

  • Photograph the packaging and visible cabinet condition before unpacking; retain labels and shipping records.
  • Compare the received equipment and accessories with the order and packing list.
  • Do not power a damaged or improperly connected machine. Arrange safe unloading and follow the manufacturer’s handling instructions.
  • Complete site preparation and startup checks with the appropriate local installer.

Add all quoted transport and site costs to the ROI calculator. Shipping estimates are not sales forecasts and a previous proposal is not a binding new transport quotation.
