Packaging guide

Bag specifications for automatic ice vending

The currently quoted bagged machine uses 5 kg bags. Packaging must match the automatic loading, filling and optional sealing system, not only the target ice weight.

Use the current quotation for the bag format

The current standard quotation specifies 5 kg per bag. Earlier product literature describes a 1–5 kg range; that earlier range should not override the latest quoted format. If your market needs another weight, request written confirmation of the machine configuration and packaging process.

A bag weight is the ice sales portion, not the physical bag size. Leave the fill/seal geometry to the approved packaging drawing and test sample.

Treat brochure dimensions as references

These are preliminary product-literature references, not a production order for a packaging supplier. Get approval for bag samples and the relevant contact-material documentation before buying in volume.

Choose whether you need automatic sealing

Automatic weighing, filling and vending are in the quoted standard configuration. Automatic bag sealing adds USD 800 per machine. If sealed retail bags are required for your operation, include the option in the order and confirm the bag material’s compatibility.

Ask the supplier to demonstrate filling and, when ordered, sealing with your approved samples. Inspect the pickup result and agree on an acceptance test for the final configuration.

Plan storage and replenishment

  • Store consumables in suitable clean conditions following supplier guidance.
  • Load the approved bags as instructed and test dispensing after changing a bag batch.
  • Keep enough stock for the next service visit; do not assume a nominal 250-bag reference is a live stock reading.
  • Record bag faults or sealing issues with photos, batch details and the configured machine settings.

Packaging cost belongs in the per-bag operating budget. See operator maintenance for routine checks and the format comparison if cup ice better fits your customers.
